Manuscript
Critique Service
For an additional $45
fee,
registered conference participants may submit up to ten
(10), typed, double-spaced pages in the following
categories:
- novel (if genre, please specify
e.g. mystery, thriller, fantasy, chick lit, etc.)
- screenplay
- short story
- humor
- standup comedy routine
- creative nonfiction
- memoir
- children’s picture book
- children’s chapter book
- children’s middle grade novel
- YA novel
A written critique will be emailed
prior to the conference by one of the following faculty
members: Amy Burkhardt, Thalia Chaltas,
Charlotte Cook, Leslie Lehr, Laurie McLean, Kristen Menger-Anderson,
Christian Moerk, Gene Perret, Katharine Sands, Thomas B.
Sawyer, and Sherry Shahan. You may state if you have
a preference for who critiques your work and we will do
our best to honor your request – although we cannot
guarantee it.

Limited Poetry Critique
Poet Susan Browne has offered
to critique poems. She will critique up to 7 (1
to 2) page poems for the regular critique fee of
$45. She can only do a limited number, however,
so the first to signup will get this service. |

Electronic submissions are
preferred. Send the manuscript as a Microsoft Word
(.doc) or rich text format (.rtf) attachment. Clearly
mark at the top of the first page your name, phone
number, email address, and the
category of the manuscript.
Also, please include in the body of your email or on a
separate page a SHORT paragraph (no more than 50 words)
that says what your manuscript is about and who is the
intended audience.
Please NO illustrations,
photographs, or book mock-ups. We accept manuscript text
only.
