French for Travelers
Learn useful and necessary vocabulary for travel in French speaking countries. Asking directions, ordering meals and checking into hotels are among the lesson topics. Games, videos and oral exercises reinforce the vocabulary for beginners and those refreshing their French skills.

Conversational Spanish
This class is an introduction to the language, culture and worldview of Spanish speaking people and will include basic fundamentals of the Spanish language for communication in real life situations. Phrases and verbal interactions will be used to help students communicate in a Spanish-speaking environment. A $15 materials fee for language book and materials will be collected on the first day of class.

Intro to the Arabic Language - Part 1
(Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing & Culture

This course covers the essentials for beginners with particular emphasis on day-to-day situations. It also provides supporting coverage of the larger acquisition of the five basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural understanding. Students need to purchase the textbook and bring it to the first class session.

Conversational American Sign Language
Did you know that ASL is the third most-used language in the United States? Students will learn basic conversational vocabulary and grammar (i.e., asking and answering questions), as well as finger spelling and numbers. Learning about the Deaf community, playing games, and establishing a foundation to continue building on newly learned skills will also be included.

Signing with Infants & Toddlers
Signing with infants and young children has proven to be beneficial in developing language and reading skills. In this fun course, students will learn to sign vocabulary related to food, bath time, clothing, songs, stories and also establish a foundation to continue building on these newly learned skills. Students will also learn to recognize sign approximations made by infants and how to implement signing into everyday activities. Bring your baby or child and have fun learning together! One adult per child.
