Comfort Food for Easter
Come and
learn how to make Southern style viddles. You’ll learn the
secret to making juicy, tender, buttermilk marinated, crispy
fried chicken, cornmeal dipped catfish, apple cider glazed
country ham, hush puppies, "boozed" baked beans, simmered
fresh green beans, grilled peach salad and red velvet
cupcakes with cream cheese icing for dessert. When
everything is cooked, students will get to sit down to a
Southern meal, complete with sweet tea! This class is a
demonstration with some hands on learning.
An $18 materials fee will be collected by the instructor.

farmer friends? Easy canning methods, with little or no
sugar, will be explained and preservation through freezing
and drying will also be discussed. Learn how to be creative
in canning, mixing fruit flavors and adding special herbs
and spices to accent flavors for your family’s enjoyment and
gift giving. Learn how to make creative gift baskets of
your own creations.
