Classes Available for Registration in mid April

Summer 2013 Sessions 1 & 2

• For Students Entering 5th through 9th grade in Fall 2012
• Session I: Mon - Thurs, June 17 - July 3, 2013 (No Class: Jul 4) - 8:30am-3pm
• Session II: Mon - Thurs, July 8 - 25, 2013 - 8:30am-3pm
• Fee: $75 each per 1 hr classes; $150 each per 2 hr classes
• Up to six classes available per 3 week session
• All classes held on the San Luis Obispo Cuesta College Campus on Hwy 1
• Classes must be taken consecutively - breaks between classes are not allowed
• Students are NOT supervised on campus between classes
• Half-Hour Lunch Scheduled from 12:30-1pm each day
• Walk In Registration begins in mid-April, 8am-5pm (Closed for Lunch 12-1pm)

Registration will not be taken until the Summer brochure is released to the public in April.

Classes are not remedial in nature but are designed to meet the needs of younger students who are eager to explore subjects in a fun and educational environment.

Classes are scheduled for 50 minutes in an hour block to allow 10 minutes for students travel time to the next class.

Since rooms are scheduled throughout the campus, students and parents are asked to check room locations to determine travel time between classes. Bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, scooters and any other human powered mechanical transportation devices are NOT allowed on campus.

Categories of classes with examples from Summer 2012 include:

• Art: Cartooning, Claymation, Model Making, 3-D Sculpture, Creative Drawing
• Business & Finance: Kids in Business, Supersitter
• Cooking & Nutrition: Young Chef 101, Bake & Decorate, Fun/Food & Fitness
• Computers: Web Page Design, PowerPoint Presentation, Digital Imaging
• Languages: French, Spanish, Italian
• Music: Drumming 101, Glee Club, History of Music from Chain Gang to Rap
• PE Activities: Karate, Soccer, Swim Fitness, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball
• Reading/Writing: Argument 101, Creative Writing, Harry Potter, Thrill Writing
• Science: Greening Your World, Explore Life on Planet Earth, Gardening for Fun
• Shop: Welding, Woodworking

**Although the dates have been set, classes and fees are still in the planning stages.

4th Grade Camp

• For Students Entering 4th grade in Fall 2013
• Mon - Thurs, July 29 - August 1, $132
• Classes: Art, Computers, Science, & Fun, Food and Fitness
• Walk In Registration begins mid-April, 8am-5pm (Closed for Lunch 12-1pm)
