If you are a user of
QuickBooks, or brand new to QuickBooks, we encourage you to register and
attend the Cuesta College SBDC hands-on QuickBooks training sessions held at
the Cuesta College SBDC. The four (4) three-hour training sessions introduce
you to QuickBooks 2008Intuits easy-to-use, powerful accounting systems for
small businesses.
The four (4) sessions
cover 15 modules in total. Each training session is designed to instruct you
in how to use many of the features available in QuickBooks Financial
Software for Windows.
Upon completion of the Cuesta College SBDC
QuickBooks sessions, you should be able to:

Create a new QuickBooks
company.

Modify the preset chart
of accounts to suit your needs.

Add information to
company lists, or edit information in company lists.

Open and use registers
for any QuickBooks balance sheet accounts.

Reconcile a QuickBooks
checking account.

Track credit card
transactions.

Invoice customers.

Create sales orders.

Generate customer
statements.

Receive payments from
customers and make bank deposits.

Write QuickBooks checks
and assign amounts to specific expense accounts.

Work with asset and
liability accounts in QuickBooks.

Enter bills into
QuickBooks accounts payable.
